I effed up...

Now you know: that un-finished blanks are prone to damage. I found out how easy it was to f -up my blank when I dropped my sanding block whilst shaping outside… the wind blew the block right out of my hand! I had a gouge on my blank…lucky it sanded out on a rail on deck.now I hold tools firmly, and don’t leave junk around truck I borrow that would ding my blank up…I also transport my blank, or finished board in a thick blanket…as they say “handle w care”… if it does break, get dented by whatever you probably didn’t put it in a safe place.also, if the gf, kid, brother or dad accidentally knocked it over I geuss you’ll be repairing a Beater… there are no mistakes - just learning experiences.let’s hope your accident might be ‘good Karma’ as -Lowel put it…a mistake that creates magic. Next build it’ll be better ( now that you know) how cheesy, weak, and how easy it is to damage the gooods. Grab a wine cooler, smoke a cig, go on a date w wife gf or whatever…life goes on. Peace.-Jim now where’s my malt beverages?#?!?

Thanks for the humor this morning.  Good responses, thanks for the words of wisdom. The board is ready for glass now. No re-outline - it doesn’t need it.
