I Want To Live in SoCal!!!!!

Hi i’m a new entry…I’m Francesco from italy…last summer i stayed 22 days in california between PB and Hb… i have known a lot of people, very kind… i think Sd is the my dram of city, and i wish live there… you are very lucky!! I’m an enginer about telecomunication, and i work in an agency as youe “epa”, enviromental, my job is control noise of traffic, train… i’m a technician in acoustic also… i’m afraid if this spot is so far about other forums but i want to realize my dreams…Do you know if there are in SoCal a lot of job ooportunities for me and my position, for instance in UCsd, ucla,Calepa, and first of all for an foreigner engineer??

checco… have you tried google.com? just put in “jobs san diego” or “jobs environmental southern california” and see if there are web sites sponsered by the state or the counties. this might be a good place to start looking. just a thought. good luck! nellyda

Given your profession, you might have some luck finding employment if you can somehow go straight to firms rather than relying solely on already posted job vacancies. San Diego is growing very rapidly, so transportation might in fact be a good area. Unfortunately, city and county jobs tend to be prime positions: government jobs, good benefits, etc. But you might try the City of San Diego traffic division. The train system is Amtrak. If you could somehow get a line on civil engineering firms in that area, that might be worth a shot.

My fiancee and I were in Italy last spring and we both loved it. No passegiata in California…but good luck.
