it’s not mine and I’m not selling it, but I’ve heard abou how skil 100’s go for $500+ so I guess this seems like a good deal. just wanted I share it with you all!

It’s pretty hammered.  It’ll cost about $250 to restore it, but if the motor is gone add another $250.  The average price for a so-so condition Skil is about $500, and a very good one is about $750.  Ones almost never used are $900 and up.  On those interestingly,  the majority of people who have them brought it for less than $250 at some swap meet, estate sale, etc. “So-so” condition means it needs an overhaul which then brings the price same a good one ($500 + $250).   Keep in mind when checking out sales that the Skil is a 3-wire grounded metal-handle tool;  never plug it and run it if you don’t know if it’s properly grounded - inside and out.  Likewise, I always remove the blades from an unknown before running it (or at least the belt).

One of my In house guys won that planer the first time it went up for 203.00

Went to pick it up and its thrashed.

Not even worth the 203.

Luckily he got out of it,

Poor guy who is going to end up paying way more for that piece.

Someone just got robbed. that thing is a piece.
