A friend of mine at my office is heading off to Kauai for her friends wedding. She’ll be the only single person in the wedding and is wondering if there’s anything that single person could do that’s fun on the Isl so she can get away from the married folks for a while.

She doesn’t surf and is wary of trying it again (one bad experinece).

She’ll be in the Poi-puu beach area and just doesn’t want to feel like the fifth wheel all next week.

What sights, activities, etc can you suggest.

She leaves late tomorrow…

If she will be hanging out at Poipu Beach, especially over Memorial Day weekend, she won’t have any trouble meeting people if she’s the least bit friendly. Lots of folks there, local and visitors. Highly recommend she rent a car; then the whole island will be at her sightseeing disposal.

She’s kinda bummed being the only single among a whole bunch of marrieds, but I hope she does drive and see it all. And martasboat too.

I went to Oahu alone before I was married… one of the best trips I’ve had. Despite the fact that the wave’s were tiny most of the time. So beautiful once you are out of Town - and Town isn’t so bad either.
