If you're sitting in your office...

The ASP contest from Brasil is broadcasting a live webcast: http://www.aspworldtour.com/

I’ve been keeping one eye on it all morning - pretty cool.

ok back to work young man!

So last week I check the program guide on the dish to see if there’s an ASP contest on OLN (wednesday nights) and see “ASP France”…too tired to watch so I set the VCR to record. Next day…jaw dropping, monster, TOH+ beach break perfection! What epic surf…and for a contest? Pulled the tabs off the video cassette…epic keeper video.

I missed the broadcast of the France event - I’ll make sure I catch the repeat.

People can say what they will about surf contests and their relevence to the rest of surfing as a whole but those guys on the ASP are incredible. I think that the coverage on OLN is over-dramatized (did that guy go to the William Shatner school of broadcasting?) but I’m not going to complain. I’m just happy to see some surfing on TV.

Looks like some surf for tomorrow Crafty - I plan on being out there later on in the afternoon.

Hey J, I couldnt agree more on the ASP…they keep on scoring great waves and the performances are inspiring…the corporate money has no affect on me as I watch it free on the tube…no complaints here.

Yeah maybe friday morn when the winds slack a bit. Keep an eye out for me…I ride stickerless light blue/aqua decked big guy shorties…short brunette, tan skin. Youre riding classic fishes right?

Ok - I’ll be on the lookout for you. I’ll probably be riding the fish but I might be riding a bright yellow thruster. I’m not a real big guy - blonde hair, most likely wearing a white long sleeve rash guard. Hope to see you.

I was watching the replay of the Trestles contest last night and something caught my eye - at the end of the program they were showing some still photos and it appeared that one of them was Kelly Slater and Miki Dora. So either they were digging through the photo archives of past events or Dora Lives…?

Anyone else catch this?
