im looking for the clear layout squares

Ive seen some people use these and was wondering if anyone knew where to order one.

http://www.swaylocks.com/resources/detail_page.cgi?ID=310

It seems to be really useful for checking the outline from the hull. I still dont see how the angles help with setting the fins though.

anyone comfortable with using these? anyone know where to get one?

thanks.

or make one yourself with some plexiglass (lexan?)…i think HD sells sheets in the size your looking for 12in ish by 24in ish.

i searched online for it but i never found a website to order, only sites describing the tool…like swaylocks…

foamez and the surf source sell them

You can buy them on the web, but home depot sells the clear plexiglass sheets that the thing is made from, so you can just get a fine point sharpie and a ruler and make your own…

Glue one of THESE to the bottom of your clear acrylic. Measure the exact same distance from each end to a point about one foot away from the ruler to establish a perpendicular. Scratch the perpendicular in to the plastic and mark with a Sharpie. Wipe with some alcohol and it’ll leave a permanent line to reference your stringer or centerline.

I got mine from an outfit in Australia called http://www.shapers.com.au/

very helpful people

Google MITCH’S SURF SHOP, LA JOLLA. I’ve purchased several from them. I’m sure they can ship.
