images on a board

**hey guys, **

i just finished shaping a 9’ longboard and i was wondering how could i put drawings on my board before i glass it? since i dont have any rice paper and i dont know where to get it could i use normal printer paper and glass over that or what else could i do beside airbrushing because mine is broken and i prefer not to go out and buy a whole new one.

hi coastboarder, check out the comment from Tridrles midway down...

other than that, i've read that you can use waterbased paint pens like

sharpee water based poster pens

Use the paint from the airbrush with other tools, brushes, rolers, fingers, toes, stamps.

Stick everything you can think of under the laminate…

Rember to do a little test before you spoil a board.

And show us the results! PICS please!

That is board ART.

Art is always innovating.

Here’s what can be done with acrylic and brushes (currently being done by my artwork specialist, Mathilde):

[/quote] Aloha coastboarder, Use brushes instead of paint pens because the pens will dent the foam where brushes won't. Aloha Kokua

alright thanks guys for the advice. i think il paint with a brush for under the epoxy but on top of the epoxy il use paint pens because i found out their water resistant.

Water-resistant, yes, but you will need to cover your work with some protection anyway (varnish, gloss coat). Otherwise, it won’t stay there for long…

this is what the board turned out to look like - chocolate rail bands and a german chocolate coloured skull with images inside the skull

Whoaouw,

that is wild,

way to go!

That looks nice - you gotta be proud of that…!
