the reply was the same as mine ,,,, "polishing sucks"

It bums me out that the pics to show up on the first post

see the finished polish

she did the whole thing

I only touched up a few areas at the end, cause I was getting bored watching her

check it out ,,, looks tight to me,,,,,

your sander is a whole lot prettier then the sander who does my boards…

the third photo is better TWO hands on the sander , and actually paying attention to the polishing job at hand

windy you are very lucky to have a qualified professional show you the ropes and having the good equipment for you to use !

it would be fun to learn how to polish a board , they definately look nice don't they !

.... you did a good job , windy .....well done !

  cheers !

dont worry shes safe ,,, I take good care of her.

yep she did a good job

she even did the wet sanding

if youve never polished a board , you should try it,,,, good for the soul

did I mention I hate polishing

hi ken !

.....i thought your photography had just FROZEN  the high speed  " whirrr  "  ha

When I'm wet sanding/polishing I wear a trash can bag with holes cut out for my arms and head.  I also wear at least a dust mask if not a respirator.

That's about as nice of a transparent pink tint as I've seen.  A very difficult color to get even.

lookin’ good Whit!

and props to you Jedi Master Ken

stoked on the board , cant wait to demolish the beautiful finish with some wax!!!

And Ken, i told you to take GOOD photos , not junky ones!!!

pink is punk!

takes a “real surfer” to paddle out on any bright pink board.

Pink is the new “Green”

Hands down the best surfboard of any shape and size I’ve ever own was this pink bottom custom 10’ bonzer bottomed thruster longboard from Country Surfboards made for me bny Jim Turnbull one of the best unknown high performance longboard shapers in Hawaii at the time who died way too young from alcohol abuse. I only wish i had ordered 10 of these at the time (cost in 1991 was $300 delivered to my office).

The board rode anything and it rode it well surfed ewa, town, makaha and big haleiwa.

Fast and strong it helped me re-enter surfing after a 15 year absence living in rainy seattle.

The next board i bought was a pink sunset point special made for a woman that i picked up used at the “Surf and Sail” shop that used to be next to the old Kuu Aina hambuger place across from BK’s. I  still have it hanging in the rafters bright pink fins and all 20 years later. It was shaped by some famous lifeguard named “Hall” for also Country Surfboards

I will also always honor the phrase “think pink” from my ski pal “bleaker” who died rock climbing in the northwest.

“Think Pink” Whit

thanks for the inspiration, Oneula!

hope you are well, aloha!
