I’ve got a transition model Hobie that is a mystery. Anyone have any idea of whether this board was a prototype or custom for someone? There are some interesting features that mark it as a transitional design but no clues as to whether it made it into a production model. My guess on age is 1968-69. 8’11" Pintail (black foam tint tailblock) Stringerless + 1 red + 1 black glueline Lightweight! (has 85% of orignial gloss polish!) Blue fiberglass Greenough inspired flex fin Serial numbered (no reply from Hobie on this) Single Hobie laminate, cut and applied on pintail Any thoughts from those of you that might have been around or seen something like this on display somewhere?
