Looking for general info on the event Surfer Mag is putting on this Sunday at Cardiff.

Times, exact location/lot or State Beach.

Costs, if any.

Is it open to the public ? or is it a closed event ?

This Sunday. All day at Cardiff. Free. Not sure which side of the river but I’m guessing the south; in front of the parking lot and restaurants. I’ll be there around 7:30 and hang 'till noon. Trying to talk Putnam into driving down but…

Hopefully a Sways kinda thing where you pick a board up off the beach and give it a try. Sunday at Cardiff with a nice swell running…I’m sure there won’t be any crowds!

Cardiff Reef in north San Diego county, Sunday morning, June 3. For some reason I was thinking pipes but its just me.

Its open to all, but they don’t want no industrial / commercial brand tents etc . . . even branded boards unless its your label.

sweet I’ll go, but I only have stock brand thrusters and i jacked up the hotcoat on my one and only (and that’s a thruster lol) so I have to redo the hotcoat (wont be done in time).

Herb hope you can go, I wanna see how a SC thruster goes. But SC’ thrusters aren’t run of the mill and you could get away with it since they have extra fins.

I wish I had some fins for my 5 finner(a Griffin copy) or had my secret weapon finish.

I’m also working on a Bill Thrailkill model(It’s a bit tweeked from his original design),but none of these are done yet.

It look’s very favorable for me to go…barring any upheaving in the family.Herb

I’ll be there, in the morning, early, with two twin fin boards. If the size and quality of the surf permits, you are welcome to ride one of them. 8’ 10’’ x 23’‘, and 7’ 10’’ x 21’’ , this offer is not limited to Herb.

Not sure if you guys heard this or not, and I’m probably posting too late to be helpful, but there was as diesel fuel spill in Encinitas that had many of the local beaches closed. There was a contest today that was canceled. May be open for tomorrow, don’t know.

Not effecting Cardiff at this time. Event is on. Who’s bringin’ the Cardiff coffee?
