Inserts with a stringer??

Hey Guys

Read a few posts from the archive regarding HD inserts in EPS foam for fin boxes.

They all seemed to be targeted to boards that have no stringer.

Do you need an insert if the fin box is to be set with a stringer??

And if so, how do you intall the insert?

Each side of the stringer or remove the stringer for the insert?

I put insert now because i use FCS style plug after lam, it’s easiest for me. I put HD PVC foam insert to fit plug in stronger foam than EPS and to prevent water intrusion. I glue inserts before lam. If i have a stringer i cut the stringer and glue insert too.
