I'm trying to install a grit barrel in my Clark Hitachi.
I unscrewed everything on the port side, but then ran out of screws to unscrew. Now the unit that I assumed would slide out is still stuck in place.
I searched Sways and Google, but couldn't find any directions on removing and reinserting the barrel.
Any advice? Or if you could point me to a thread on this, that would be awesome.
THANK YOU

keep searching - there are quite a few old threads that cover how to do this. using google with your search words and also this typed in site:swaylocks.com - works way better than the search function on this site.
some advice - loosen the aluminum pulley before you pull the gear assembly out of the planer. it is on there super tight from the factory and you can use the planer body for leverage to loosen the pulley. the cutting head and motor armature will slide out together once you take out all the screws - you should take off the parts on the opposite side of the planer also (including the brushes so you dont break them up) - this can help you figure out how to push/leverage the gear assembly out of the planer body.
Yes! Thanks so much - that’s exactly what I was looking for. Really appreciate it.
