Introducing "Model 55"

Told my Doc; If I was lucky I wouldn’t need a Knee operation before I die. But if I took 30lbs off, I’m sure both knees would be relieved. But I don’t do anything over 10’2 and prefer my 9’4 to any board there is. 12/22/48 Brother Guillem. Right there with you. Nice work as always. Which “Blue”, lavender, purple, did you start with? Not a “one drop” tint, but certainly not too many drops per side in that one. Tasteful. Have gotten tired of Mexican Blankets and Acid Splashes. These days give me a 3 Stringer clear or a nice tint.

The “bleu de Provence” is a powder pigment that I found in an art store. Included is a photo of another board I made with it.

Never used any of the powders. Are they difficult to mix and get consistent? I have seen so called “Epoxy Only”tints and pigments, but have never tried them either. I usually find Epoxy pigments on websites that have nothing to do with Surfboards. They are always more exspensive than what I normally buy. Which is good old Duratech.

Better use a powered helicoïdal stirring device. I was lucky not to get solid grains as I didn’t filter after stirring. I strongly advise to do it. I can’t tell you how it would work with epoxy, I only use PE resin.
