Is 3 pints of resin enough for a 6'4"???

I’m trying to get a board built and $$$ is tight. I’ve got the materials but need some resin.

The board will be 6’4" and will have 2x4 on the deck and 1x4 on the bottom.

Will the 3 pint kit of resin from Resin Research be enough?

Chris!

I think its parts not pints.

The smallest kit consists of 3 bottles (1 litre each), 2 bottles of resin, 1 bottle of hardner (2:1   :D)

And yeah, there will be lots left over. (Possibly enough for 1/2 of second board).

It is pints. There are 16 ozs in a pint so your looking at 48 ozs of resin, youll be pushing it.if your a really good glasser/finisher doing a standard size chip its doable.A 6’4 fish or simmons takes more resin than say a 6’4 flyer. The 1.5 gallon seems to be the best bang for the buck. You can get 96oz kits online too.

Chrisp,

I have enough epoxy to do the job.  Not RR, but I like the stuff.  Just have to pay for your gas and a sixer of Coors.  Probably have enough fiberglass, too. If you don’t have enough for the Coors I can supply that, too.   (:  Mike

Wow Mike, thanks for the generous offer! I’d love to come down and hang out at the Rat Turd Lab!

I could bring some Coors and Guiness (my favorite) =)…

Finding time to get away is tuff though. Maybe we can set something up later?

Let me know, Chris.  PM you my cell. mike
