Is this a good board for my wife to learn on? *PIC*

What do you think: This board is a Prism 8’ x 22" x 2 3/8" custom epoxy. I’m wondering if it would work for my wife to learn on. She’s 5’5" and 135-140lbs. Should I go bigger? I’m not sure if the fin configuration is such a good idea for a beginner. Looks like fun though. I’m trying to attach a pic as well as a link to the site with other pics of the board. It was made with Resin Research epoxy, which is another plus for me. The tag is $250. Your opinions? http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/caside30aos/album?.tok=phqOCfABOIVj8SwR&.dir=/Surf+Board&.src=ph

Sounds good to me, price is reasonable as well. I use a similar sized board to teach newbies. However, you may want to step up and get her a true longboard. Its one she will be able to use for life. Also great to have for the super small days.

it looks too long to have a four fin design, but im no expert…

It should be noted that I cannot see the picture. Going off the dimensions given. I still think you should go with a 9" or longer single fin. Where is this going to be used?

Probably Malibu,Sunset(pacific palisades),Leo Carillo, County Line. Yeah I think I’ll hold out for more of a longboard shape for her. http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/caside30aos/album?.tok=phqOCfABOIVj8SwR&.dir=/Surf+Board&.src=ph
