The bodysurfing picture was taken on the Eastside of Oahu during his campaign ‘‘break’’,

I think it was August. It appeared in newspapers all over the US. He was quoted as saying

he’d tried surfing as a kid, but he ‘‘was a kook’’. Looks like he learned to bodysurf pretty

well, though. Nice to know there’s someone in the White House with a little wave knowledge.
