Jesse Billauer Scores

So I paddle out to this offshore reef yesterday and there's this board with some odd looking braces on the deck floating in the foam inside of the break. I figured somebody lost it so I better bring it back out to the peak. As I'm paddling over to retrieve it, another guy strokes over, nods to me, grabs it with his toes and tows it back out to the lineup. I smiled and followed him out to where Jesse is floating on Mary Osbourne's board and chatting. Mary and the other guy pull him onto his board and wait for the next set. After a few roll by, they spin around and push him into a set wave. Mind you, we're at an offshore reef and the swell was 9' @ 15 secs. It's truly an amazing and inspiring sight to see. The really cool thing was, there were no cameras. This wasn't a promotional deal, it was just some friends having a good time, sharing waves and talking story. I have serious respect for Jesse, Mary and friends.

I thought of Jesse Billauer when someone sent me this link:
