Didn’t someone do a “sidewinder” or something like that? Hobie? D.Jorg
Thanks guys - Holmesy (East Coast) did a “Sidewinder” - a similar nose riding design. Featured prominent slots angled to direct water over a reverse wing kind of thing in the tail. Kind of a modification of the old Simmon’s slot nose which allowed water to flow over the rails farther up on the board.
Just a thought, but can you put a “New” next to the catagories in the Boards section when someone posts a new board. I don’t know if you are notified when a new picture is posted or not but it would help a lot I think. GF
GF, I’ve thought of some thing like that but it’s actually a bit tough to do. I’m working on it though. In the meantime – I’ve set up a thingy for the homepage that lists all recent archive additions. John Mellor’s board was the first to this list. (Now that I think about it I can also put this in the boards section also). Anyway, I’ve just gotten a new archive record, so look for it in the latest list in the next 24hrs. Thanks, S>>> Just a thought, but can you put a “New” next to the catagories > in the Boards section when someone posts a new board. What will the scoop tail do as far as board performance? Enjoy it !!! R.I. surfer
As far as performance, it was primarily intended to keep the tail down while noseriding. On a decent wave, it feels pretty normal - the board seems to ride with the wings and rails in the face. I’ve been playing with small fins to keep it loose. The wings actually provide more control than I expected.
