Ian [‘sandgroper’] got to ride the 7’ single fin , I finally got to launch the 6’8 banksy and Josh had his bert special , as well as goes on the banksy , and the 7’er.
The sunova was fun to ride , as was the Banksy …two boards I have not ridden before .
It was HOWLING offshore …poor josh was feeling the cold after warm Avoca temps , I guess ?
hopefully there might still be some swell around tomorrow , for another try …
well we had a three hour surf today AND yesterday , i still have the flu , went up to joondalup today to drop off the watershots , and feel absolutely MUNTED now. So i’ll see how / if i can recoup this arvo, before making a decision .
josh got some fun ones on the bushfire fish this morning , ‘sandgroper’ scored a tube on the 7’ single fin, just as i was walking out with the camera , and i had heaps of fun on the ‘Sunova’ … I LIKE that board !!
the drift when taking watershots is REALLY noticeable !! wore me out very quickly , but it was a really FUN morning !
oh , I nearly forgot … PASCAL re-appeared for a surf after nearly ?3 months? out of the water . He was riding his “speedneedle” twinny .
This is what Sway’s is all about, you might type stuff to each other over the years but it’s always like catching up with a long lost friend when you do meet. No pretences, just pure stoke.
Great to have finally met you Josh and Darrell…We’ll definately catch up at your place some time…
well, the lad is now winging his way back to sydney as I type .
we scored a very hairy 30 knot onshore beating this morning . PLENTY of windswell around today.
This kid is so keen !!
…but he sure scored on sunday , monday , and tuesday [yesterday , here ]
He made the comment that during his two weeks here , which included rottnest , and margarets to augusta , the best waves he scored were here in the metro , where he finally got some OFFshores. Unusual , to say the least !!
It was great to have met him and his family , he's not just a name on a screen any more now !
