About ten years ago my wife and I took our daughters and a friend camping at San Onofre, It started raining while we were down at the beach. Back at camp I put everyone in the car and packed it all up. Pouring rain. 30 min drive home and I set up camp in the living room…Fun,fun, fun

my dad had me in the ocean riding waves with him by the time I was 9 months and he got me standing on a surfboard at age 4. just like puppies it is never to early to start. And it will give you something the two of you can share no matter how distant they seem you can always go for a surf.
I started my daughter and son when we lived on maui , there still at it 30yrs later. I love surfing with my kids.

I’ve had my daughter on a board since she was one but was always a bit worried about her stance.
A little skateboarding session soon fixed the problem.
