Hey guys just finished sanding the new board, came out great, thanks for all the help and sharing all your info. I still need to set the fins on it, but Ill have pics soon. I’m using four fcs premium series fins, pro box set up, Back fins at 4 degrees cant, front fins 6 degrees cant. Any suggestions on toe degree for a 7’6" fish? I researched in the archives but no one explained in detail how they rode. Also I hand painted on the foam but had a lot of bleeding on my lines does an spray gun cure this? Thanks–kevin

With a board that long, you might want to toe in the fin angle a bit. Too straight and you’ll be tracking like the Polar Express. I made that mistake on a 7’10" a few years ago. Just tape the end of a measuring tape down at the nose about 3" outisde of the stringer. Run the tape straight down to your fin marks on the tail and voila! Is the nose pulled in or is it wide? Kinda hard to tell without photos.
What type of paint did you use? My wife used H20 based acrylic paints thinned 1/3 part with Future floor wax and it was just fine. No bleed over. Make sure the paint has completely dried before the lam.
What was your question again? Where am I?
Pulled in nose. Acrylic paint. Thanks for the tip. Was thinking 1/4 inch toe on front fins. Maybe 1/16 toe on rear fins or possibly zero. Will have pictures up after this weekend. Also making myself a real nice travel bag so they will be up monday when I get back to work.
