Just Say No

Got home from the beach this afternoon (surf was waist high and clean) and there’s a shiny SUV in my driveway with two SUPs on the roof (fitting, no?).

Turns out to be a woman I know who I’ve done ding repair for in the past. First off, I was not pleased to see SUPs in my yard, period. Secondly, she wanted me to fix a sidebite fin on one of them that a ‘friend’ had busted loose. Looked like FCS plugs. I told her I couldn’t. Made up an excuse. I will not touch SUPs, even if I can make money off them. Go away.

so good!

Thank you for making the world a better place.

Yes!

I mean no.

Sammy, you win the hero of the week award.

Good man.

have turned down numerous requests to build those damn things.   I won’t do ding repair on them either.  At least in my neck of the woods, they are a pox on surfing.

Refuse to make 'em and for repair I use the “it’ll never be the same” can’t help you line!

But I can make you a killer SURFboard!!!

Thanks SammyA you da man!

I’m a whore. I said yes and charged extra.

You guys are an inspiration

epoxy is double fee, popouts are double that

slow is the time frame, take the opportunity to lecture

1.buy american made

2.buy quality

3.be of good behavior in the water

4.instruct to not be a sink hole

5.scold for wreckless endangerment

6.no is a negative magnet, A qualified /quantified yes is progressive.

7.nobody wants to be a ding bitch, especially for hodads and kuks.

8.nice people are better than not nice people lead by example.

9.is how you say nyet in german.

  1. the longer you take to repair a stand up,the longer they are aout of the water.

…ambrose…

do a stellar job.

Hi ambrose,

Pleae let me change your first rule into:

  1. Buy locally made.

Not only does this rule apply for the rest of the world too, but even america is very to big for this rule.

Apart from that, I couldn’t agree more with all the other rules.

Even being an epoxy guy, I believe it is fair to charge double for epoxy repairs when polyester is what you normally do.
