I just shaped my first blank and it turned out better than i had hoped!! Now i believe i am ready to fiberglass it. I have read from other tutorials on the internet that i am better off getting it glassed by a pro. What are your thoughts on this and what kind of success did you have when you glassed a board your first try?? And also could anyone recommend any good shops that glass boards in the Santa Cruz/Norcal area? Thanks --Brandon
There are several good glassing shop in the Santa Cruz area look in the phone book. Several of the building shops have moved to Salinas because S.C. is too expense. http://www.viser.net/~anthwind/

Thanks > --Brandon Congratulations on your first blank…It will be much cheaper to glass your board yourself…I glassed my first shape then sent them out after that. If your shape is pleasing to the eye, a good glass job will only enhance it, a mediocre glass job take away from it. I’ve only shaped like 35 boards in the last ten years but have the satifaction of knowing I can shape boards that work for myself. I’m still learning but thats the fun of it…Good luck dude…
