He is interested in the performance varibles as is Paul Cole the designer. It just so happens that Paul has achived his goals in performance but it took some time , 15 years R&D…first design registrations in 1991 119977. There will be some minor setbacks for JD but I feel hes hasnt lost his enthusiasim yet…At least he hasnt stated that its a total dog, and to leave it alone !!! -------------------------------------------- Hey guys…How do you make a fibreglass fin flex one way? I for one would be very happy to never see another post about the FP, its designer, alleged theory, attributes, salespeople, psueudo-salespeople, $1500 price tag, or ANYTHING. What a load of unadulterated cr*p. You don’t know when to stop, don’t have any credibility, and don’t have anything to say that deserves to take up space here (or anywhere) in such obnoxious quantity. “i’m not selling anything” you sound like a bunch of TV preachers or worse… take it to Ebay, will you?

I found this site about 6 months ago when I decided to shape a board for myself. The site is fantastic, so many shapers from all over the planet sharing their knowledge of design concepts and shaping techniques. Its a resource like no other. But there are quite a few threads on this site that don’t further anyones knowledge of shaping or design and the Fat Penguin threads fall into that category. I have nothing against the shape. In fact, I applaud you for shaping something outside the norm. But your threads never actually discuss why the shape is what is. What theories you are trying to take advantage of and HOW YOU ACTUALLY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM. You simply make claims, and hints, and tease people with stories of breakthroughs and revolutions. You give us a sales pitch, when we are looking for information and ideas to further our own shapes and designs. Your threads carefully avoid the whole purpose of Swaylocks. And because of that, I have decided to start skipping your threads altogether, I hope other will too.

Swaylockians: Let this be the last! I’ve appealed to the notion of better judgement on previous threads but the light of consciousness and propriety is burned out. Thus any thread that intiated with the F.P. as a topic I consider guano and will treat as such. Do peguins sink when they die at sea? I wonder? One thing for sure they sure stink like hell when they die on the beach. I know it’s hard to ignore the smell but even worms and fleas need food. Let’s let them feed and move up wind. Join me. This is something to think about when negative people are doing their best to rain on your parade. So remember this story the next time someone who knows nothing and cares less makes your life miserable. A woman was at her hairdresser’s getting her hair styled for a trip to Rome with her boyfriend. She mentioned the trip to the hairdresser, who responded, “Rome? Why would anyone want to go there? It’s crowded and dirty and full of Italians. You’re crazy to go to Rome. So, how are you getting there?” “We’re taking Continental,” was the reply. “We got a great rate!” “Continental?” exclaimed the hairdresser. “That’s a terrible airline. Their planes are old, their flight attendants are ugly, and they’re always late.
