FYI there are waves at the Bay looks shoulder high on the outside… We are at a picnic table halfway between the pier and the rivermouth if anyone wanders by. Proneman is over from Oahu too.

I would of loved to be there,,, but ,,,still working on the big D and getting finances ironed out
I would have been great to meet up with Mike ,as I missed him last I was there
I allready know Ambrose and Robin whom have introduced me to other colorfull people of whom I now call my friends, Shorty, Larry, Doc and the others that I have met in the lineups
Know that I was there in spirit
Hanalei is one of my favorite places to hang out

I really wanted to be there but could'nt. I can't think of a better place to have a Sways get together. Seems you guys scored with some waves though, it's usually flat this time of the year eh? That forecasted north swell did show here on Oahu, but everybody and anybody was on it...There must have been 80 or more guys out at Laniakea. Anyone take any pics? Hope Kokua is getting better...

Hey Derek,
It was a fun day…with a few overhead waves here and there and a good vibe in water with a lite crowd…I got to surf an 11-0 Ambrose Hanalei Special…yea I was able to get a few!
Kokua(Mike) is doing really good…back to work…very positive and we had a great conversation bout baja and some common aquaintences. he has a new 9-0 that he is amped to get in the water very soon!
Always great to hang out with Keith and family and of course Kauai aint Kauai without catching up with Ambrose and his surfboard garden! Lotta Aloha and Surfing Creativity! Thanks to Ambrose for board usage and the tees.
Maybe Ambrose can tell the story of Makaiwa!! Please!!!

Howzit foamdust, Yep we had a great time seeing each other again after a few years and had a good time talking story. Proneman and Keith got to paddle out for some waves but since I t still have a stomach feeding tube in me I can't take ant chances of doing something that might rip it out, so no paddling. Like I said in a previous email to you my friend doesn't make trunks in size 31 which is also my size normally, but since I have lost so much weight I fi in 30's for now but I am gaining weight every day and hope to get up to size 32 in the future. I see if I can get you a couple of Tshirts or maybe a small size 32 pair of trunks might fit, that is what I used to do. Aloha,Kokua
