Hey Silly

Tried the ATL epoxy (test panel) and it sands great after post cure @ 40C for 12hrs. Going to give Daren’s (Entity) idea a go on a test panel and compare.

Just tooling around getting familiar with epoxy. Only used Fiberglass Hawaii Epoxy before with I0 min hardener and found it to be a good lam/fill resin but too stressful in my climate being that I’m not that good a laminator! This ATL epoxy gives a 25-30 min pot life so it’s looking good. Totally agree with comments regarding poly over epoxy I just would’nt feel confident with it.

i know that huies definitely worked it out and is making boards with poly fill coats

so id take his advice for it

using poly is difficult for me cuz i live in town with close neighbours

but i would like to try using poly

but i cant see the point in adding stuff to epoxy

if you were painting a colour over the top like surftech then micro balloons would be good for sanding

btw huie that board is absolutely stunning

r 104 lam poly fill polly finish no problems in the last 6 months

why the poly its bloody quicker

paul sorry i didnt post this sooner but i stuck my finger in the jointer but lucky i had to stich it up myself no doctor
