when you do a resin tinted lam, do you eyeball the tapeline, or use pencil??

when you do a resin tinted lam, do you eyeball the tapeline, or use > pencil?? I eyeball all my tape offs,be it tints, opaques,or airbrush work. I tried a cheater tool once back in the late 60’s and didn’t like it. There are a lot of glassers who use them but their not my cup of tea. Aloha,Kokua http://www.yahoo.com

how do you get the needle to stay in place on the rail line tool?

how do you get the needle to stay in place on the rail line tool? Teddy I use a piece of L shaped foam ( an off cut ) and simply push the needle through the foam.Make sur the section of foam you are pushing the needle through is say 2" thick and the needle should stay in place fine if not try some plasticine. This also works for pencils.

plasticine? not familiar with it… ever try putting the needle in a wooden set-up?

plasticine? not familiar with it… ever try putting the needle in a wooden > set-up? Plasticine is play dough and I’ve always just used scrap foam for my marking tool but I’ll get one from JR when he has them ready…
