Hey guys this is my first post with many more to come but i cant seem to find a clear answer on one thing. When adding a logo on like rice paper when sould you apply it and how? i have watched multiple videos and read a buncha different posts all saying something different. some guys are putting it under the cloth, others between the laminant coat and the hot coat. is there a right way or a wrong way? let me know. thanks!
There is plenty of stuff in the archieves, but for a quick answer, while laminating the bottom, the rice paper will go under the cloth. While doing the deck, the rice paper will go inbetween the two layers of cloth.
perfect thanks! i guess thats what threw me off i didnt catch that there was a difference between the deck and the bottom.

Clear board or tint= under cloth to avoid sanding it off. If tint messes logo color use #2
-
Pigmented board= addtn’l overlayer of cloth over logo on lam or sanded coat (less fairing involved on cured lam. coat rather then sanded add on version). Logo color(s) stay true if not under tint.

In between double layers of cloth (usually deck) is okay but can shift unless careful. Heck, they can ALL shift if not careful. Main concern is proper wet out of logo and no bubbles.
good point on the color. this is my third board ever so im probably gonna stick with the clear for now. thanks for all your help guys!
