Larger wave fish

I was Wondering How would the design of a Lis inspired twin fin fish be geared towards larger waves? I was thinking of dimensions as follows: 5’5"x20"x2 1/2" with a nose of 16" and a Tail of around 14"

fish boards are generally geared towards small waves. in bigger waves wide boards spin out on bottom turns and you cant carve hard turns without nursing the board around. watch the searching for tom curren vid. his board is only 19 1/4 wide and you can see that he cant push his turns as hard as he usually would.

The board Tom used was much shorter than 6.6, from my personal experience I can say that a 6.3 split tail can be pushed hard in everthing up to 6 ft. and hollow. And it feels like it might hold in bigger to. The board Im refering to is not a modern small swallow tail design. Peter Rijk http://www.surfenginez.com/
