Last questions before starting.

Hey guys

You have all given me a crap load of information on this site and many pictures to excite my imagination.

After a long time of longing for my own homebuilt board i am just about to get my blank. Its going to be 5’5 because im a small guy and is going to be a fish, big butt crack and some nice keels. In trying to decide the thickness and width i chose to come on here and look at what has worked for other. Still cant decide. Im about 55-60 kg (havnt checked in ages) and about 165cm tall.

Please could you give me a couple of recomendations on dims. Would really appreciate it and it’d get me closer to that dream of shaping.

Cheers and thanks in advance.

5’5" x 20.75" x 2.45" thick, with a 16" nose and a 15" tail…

My bud who weighs 180lbs. uses a 5’6" x 22" fish, which float him like a cork…

I rode it and at my 150 lbs., was about the same paddling and float as my 7’3" funboard.

give it a hard edge all the way up the board…I think it was LeeV, LeeDD, or one of those Lee’s that gave me the advice on hard edges all the way through on my last fish…it really helps on the slower waves and I can’t really tell the difference when it gets choppy.

Rio

Crap loads of info, that’s R us. ha!

'nuff said.(?)

Go for it brah.

Thanks guys. Really needed that. Will be getting the blank in the next week or so, so i will be posting pictures

Cant wait, im all excited now.
