ben

it not finished yet but when it is I’ll give you a complete run down

got a set of vector2 quad fins just waiting for it as well as a set of K1’s and the Vector2+1s to try

the multiplug option on your play boards is definitely the way to go and every one is doing it nowadays.

I’ll measure it tomorrow

it’s wide though probably 22.5"-23"

you should see it’s predecessor even weirder and wider but only 1.75" thick

I can sure make some fugly looking boards…

I post some pics of that beast tomorrow too.

That blue and purple paint is to cover the 2" of blue dow foam rails covered by Cherry veneer that got all messed up sanding.

What happened is there’s a marked rail band break where the bamboo deck skin ends and the blue dow rail begins it’s definitely domed or SK8’d but not as bad as that fat albert gemini I made for some beeg hawaiians to try.

Gonna be a weird looking ride but what the hell it’s just for fun anyway isn’t

Gonna paint the entire bottom bright yellow with some fusion spray can after finishing the fin boxes…

Aloha oneula,

Your boards look great. Congrats on what appears to be super craftsmanship. Stay on it and Enjoy the ride!

Hey man,

I dig then cats.

They ARE fast.

No Bull.

Bernie, great thread. How do you keep your job from getting in the way of your busy personal life?

Two quickies. Isn’t that bamboo veneer a thick weave? and if so how did you get it to lay flat enought to lam even in a bag?

I love your comment about molding the bottom contours. I did one with flexible epoxy resin and had mixed results. Are you using rubber. All I can find is super expensive mold making stuff. Unless I find something cheaper, I’m going to continue with epoxy and just get better/deal with it.

Greg

the bamboo is 1mm thick

PlusOne

we weighed’em the 6’2" firewire and the 6’11" home made hull weigh the same with fins a little over 7lbs on the digital scale

Chip

the ugly beast’s measurements are 6’2" x 23" x2.5" 16" nose 18" tail

and close to no rocker with a pronouced single to double I can’t wait to try her

maybe tomorrow
