Here’s the last one I just popped out.
Shortboards are becoming more fun for me, since the blanks are pretty much cut out for you.
I have a buddy up the central coast, back home, that’s been giving me feedback on these things. So after a couple versions and a couple months I think we’ve landed on something he likes. I started with making him a flatter, wider board - much like most guys seem to be riding these days for thrusters. (whatever Dane is riding)
Turns out he needed something with a more continguous rocker, narrower, thinner etc. It makes sense because waves are generally anywhere between 2-4 ft lager and steeper than anything I’ve seen down here. …atleast during the winter.
Turns out this is what works for him. More pronounced rocker, thinner rails, and a simple single concave through the bottom with a flip out the tail. Glassed even llighter than the last. 4oz+4oz deck, and 4oz bottom.
polished/sanded finish.
Fun little board!
