laying out and installing fin boxes

okay soo befor i totally sand the board im going to install my fin boxes, now i have NO idea where to even put the fins, its going tobe a quad its 6’10 im sure most of you know by following my failure of a board lol. is there a chart of somesort for laying them out and how would i lay them out? :S i have a mechianists square if i can use that.

thanks for advice tblank and ken surf im using proboxes, its going to be for small surf around 2-4feet and maybe double head? :)im not really sure i may try some 6-12 foot waves in october, porbly hurt myself but hey how els do you learn. il take a pic and post in a minute.

Read this thread a few times and do what works for you,all of the tricks shown work.I like my quad setups to be the same distance in from the rail and have the same toe & cant.I use the mckee placement to find out how far forward from the tail to place them.

J/k,I place my shapers dots at the tail end of the probox jig 1 1/4" in from the rail and this works for me,hopefully someone that knows more than me will chime in…otherwise you may be doomed!hahaha

i just sat down with my board in front of the computer and worked throuugh the how i probox and it looks likethey will work :smiley: maybe sand them down today or some time this week and show it off here even though its not the best :smiley:
