you simply* press alt+e (i.e. at the same time) and then press e. that’s how i got the accent. and for the î, i pressed alt+i and then i.
all of the various accents have key combos like that. search the net for them, i’m sure you’ll find more info.
- i say “simply”, but i use a mac so perhaps it’s different with Windows/PC.
