Like to see some semi/modern/hybrid fish/ small wave shortboards

Been looking at a lot of modern style fish/small wave shortboards. Really like the look of them. I have packed up the stands ( baby no.3 due soon!! ), but im getting keen for one of these. So, show me some pics of yours, made, bought, anything. Im particularly interested in the wide tail, pulled back widepoint, and narrow nose, thruster type. Sort of like a small wave shorty.

I’ve kind of gotten used to surfing with the backfoot, funnily from riding a longer board, and now im starting to get the hang of them, and setup as a thruster, the manouverability makes me want more!haha

 

I can’t afford to make/buy one, so help me out with some inspirational pics. Also, ride reports as well.

Hi, this might not be exactly what your talking about but heres one that I made last year for smaller surf, I did quite boxy rails and a bit more foam on it and it paddled great, also seemed to turn well off the top with the narrower tail (flyers). I actually ended up selling board, it had some black pigment colours on deck done separately to the green and had take it back as the deck cracked and started to delam :frowning: but stripped back layer and have since realized the problem was wax additive in hot coat didnt allow the extra layer to glue well enough (lesson learned). Anyway fixed, sanded and its as good as new plus a little lighter! Could not manage a good photo of the rails but heres some pics

That's exactly the kind of board im talking about. Looks great mate, how big, wide etc??

Oh yeah right , forgot to post the dimensions:

its 6’2 by 19" wide and 2 3/8 thick, widepoint is almost under the front foot so feels quite stable and “fish” like.

Got another one under way thats similar, trying to make it lighter than this one though, will post some pics soon , see ya
