In the past I’ve done my logos on the fins I’ve made with ricepaper like I would in a board. But I was wondering if you guys know how the best way to do an exterior logo would be. Silk screen using acrylic? Thanks.
Seen some cool silk screen artwork done on sanded fins, then glossed over.
Pretty cool looking.
Thanks Barry. That’s what I was thinking of doing.
I have also seen some guys doing a screen print or stamp and then an acrylic clear on box fins.
…hello, yes, is silk screening directly, and gloss; but no problem with silk screening on paper, lam and hot coat.
I made all by myself so I use both techniques; depending on the situation; here s a few examples in glass ons and fins for boxes:
edit: I do not use acrylics.
Wrong! It’s done with a stencil.
…stencil is another option but you cannot have details or small fonts; some type of colors do not work plus does not look pro quality.
Works if you do one or two without details.
About 25 years ago I did stencil logotype work even over PU; then changed to silkscreening over PU too; then on resin; etc
