Longboard shape

Hello all. 

I’ve currently got an 8’ 3" ready for shaping in my shed. I’ve never ridden anything that size. I’m looking to get a decent nose rider out of it which has a forgiving nature! Been surfing for nearly 8 years on short performance (7’0") mals, fishes and other stuff. Just a bit confused about tail design and fin type/placement. I’m 5’5" and around 78kilos (171lbs). 

All and any ideas welcome.

What’s the rocker on that blank like?

I’m 5-7 and 175, I love my 9’ longboard, very easy to ride, easy to catch waves.  I went with a square tail, and set the fin box 6" from the back.  Soft (round) rails all the way around, even in the tail.
