I am building an SUP rental fleet here in Florida -- have two shaped and glassed and they look pretty OK -- but want to tint the next one -- Where is the best place to start ???
Do I need to do a cut lap if I tint the lam coat --I would think so --but need feedback ---
Can I put the tint into the fill or hot coat (those would be taped off)
Just a little input would be great and thanks for the feed back ---
Putting the tint in the lamination coat calls for a cutlap or it will look awful. Tint in the hot coat is not advised because sanding will make it uneven. What can easily be done is a coat of polyurethane paint as a final coat. You will get the “Surftech” look, but since it’s a rental fleet i guess you’re not too concerned with that?
Thanks for the info -- its like why didn't it hit me from the start -Yes, just paint it ----;;;] -- and what do you do in France -- in the surf or SUP industry --
As stated I am starting an SUP business and building a fleet oro boards for rentals --and will shape some race boards as the demand is there and most of the China made boards are bought before they get to the East Coast of the US....
Ok now I see your web site --
Yes, yesterday it was head high and glassy -- off shore wind and I was the only one out ---
