im looking for a used surf mat. Don’t wanna fork over the dough for a new one until I figure out if I like it. Never tried one. I’m a fairly competent board surfer and bodysurfer but never tried a mat. I surf makaha quite a bit and seems like it would go well there on smaller days. If anyone has a decent mat they wanna part with, I’d be interested
Dude the mats are dirt cheap! Just get one that isn’t shiny- those r crap.
Mats paddle well + when you drop in you make ur own nose kick by pulling it up. Keep nuff air in it or its slower.
All the decent mats I’ve been looking at new are 150$ at least
i have a couple of these awesome for beach days. not specific for surfing but my daughter loves riding waves on them!
grasshopper - before I knew about surfing I was a mat surf rider! Lol. I think I had one similar to your daughter’s mat! If it floats , it’s kinda stiff its gold! We used to wade in groups of twenty kids catchin curls straight down and into white water! I think I was ten to eleven cuz I starting surf n at 13.
