GOT EVERYTHING I NEEDED, THANKS A LOT!!!
~AUSTIN

hey austin, if you can’t find anyone with the templates you could try creating one on aps300 and printing it full size.
nice choice on boards by the way.
yeah i would be interested two, i have a 6’2 east coast design single fin that is so sweet. its a little beat but still in very surfable condition. i was hoping to amke soemthing bigger for myself but i could make a copy of it for you. i can post a pic if you like. the board also has that early removable fin system
sheez if you don’t care that they are on grah paper i have about 12 i can send you. these are all similar to what you seem to be looking at. i design boards during class, i have some really classic designs i can send you.
Austin,
I have a few 70’s single fins, ranging from around 6’10" to 7’10". I think one of mine looks similar to the very top picture you posted. I could send you a full size paper template, if that is what you are after. Do you care about the length?

If the designs are porportional, I would like to see them, that would be great.

I don’t care too much about length so that would be awesome if you could send me a full size temp. Do you have a pic of the board by any chance?
-Turbohog-
Sounds good, post the pic.
-Josh-
What’s aps300? and where can I print out a full size temp? Kinkos?
Thanks,
Austin
I can measure out my 6’4 Cooper single fin for you , if you like ?
ben
I think you can print them at Kinkos. APS is a free program that you can custom create templates from. they have a machine that shapers can by that shapes the blank.
heres the website.
You’re bouncing all over the place, starting with late 60’s guns then jumping to small wave designs.
Since you don’t know what you want, just buy some masonite/pressboard and make your own!
Thank’s Ben,
I appreacate your offer, but I don’t feel like dealing with all of thoes measurments and then having to draw it out(Lazy I know). I do like the board though, How dose it ride?
Cheers,
Austin
The Cooper…
it would ride well …
…if the bottom wasn’t twisted ???
Thanks for the advice, but I want to shape BOTH styles of single fins. It’s not too important to me which one I get to first, so I might as well kill two boards with one post…or something like that. Any ways…You can’t go wrong with making your own template though, that’s probably the best thing to do.
Cheers,
Austin
[measurements and ‘laziness’ aside , you WILL probably have to transfer those templates to masonite or similar at some stage , anyway !! [unless people send you stiff enough cardboard templates , so you don’t have to exert yourself too much …
…sheesh …
…“the kids of today …I don’t know …when I was your age , I’d …” etc etc … hehehe ]
ben
I obviosly I am going to transfer the template to masonite and it is not hard at all to make a template from scrach, having done it before. But since I’m looking for a template with wings, it would be to my benifit to find one as such, you old guys…hehe… I guess I don’t know exactly where im going with this, never shaped a board with wings before, but that’s why I’m here and not in my shaping room AKA my garage.
Cheers,
Austin
