Does anyone know of an online or catalog vendor for miscellaneous parts and hardware?

I’m gonna start messing around making some water housings and stuff and need to source latches, switches, seals, etc.

good to see you around. The control hardware are called glands. See this guy’s website: http://www.atlimp.com/glands.htm

You can buy the hard parts from:

http://www.ikelite.com/web_pages/housing_parts.html for snaps to hold things together.

and

http://www.ikelite.com/web_pages/control_parts.html to control your contraption.

Building a housing takes precision and skills way past most surfboard building.

There are a lot of housings out there these days and many are now affordable.

PlusOne I hear ya, I’m not looking for anything to terribly fancy. Actually I already have a housing for my camera, just figured I’d take a crack at it. I see a lot of jigs in my future to get things lined up properly!

It’s all in good fun either way…

months ago at the Oceanside swap meet was a box full of old Scott Priese water housings and parts
