Just a heads up.I was planing a board when I noticed a small groove in the foam followed by a loud noise and the planer seizing. The middle bolt that holds the blade came loose. No major damage to me, machine, or board, but seemed like a potentially dangerous situation considering the speed the blade travels. Might want to snug yours down a little. Mike
I’ll keep note of that.
I maintain mine regularly,and have found them(the bolts)not loose,but not very tight either.Herb
Herb,
What kind of maintenance do you do on yours? Mine only has about 15 boards on it. Mike
After every session whether it be one board or 8.(Just like firearms)
Especially when they’re new(just like firearms). Most power tools come from the factory w/ minimum tourque on the fastners.
If it keeps ocurring.I’d locktite them suckers inplace.Herb
Got it Herb. Mike
