I have a fin that wobbles in the fin box. The tip wags about 1/4" side-to-side. The board rides fine. I just wanted to know if the repeated motion of a loose fin can damage the box or fin?
Try some duct tape on the bottom part of the fin that slides into and out-of-site in the fin box. “Wooblegone”
Thanks G. I wedged a piece of cardboard in there, but I think the fin feels better with the wobble! I just want to know if I’m doing any damage by keeping it loose. If it’s harmful, i’ll use the duct tape.
put a dab or two of resin on it, then you can sand those down until you get desired fit(and wobble if you want it)
