Here’s the scoop. My brother in law lost his 7’10" Sr Pato minigun out of the back of his pickup today around mid morning on Hwy 20 halfway between Geyserville and Fort Bragg. Unfortunately he didn’t see it happen so there’s a long stretch of road in them thar woods. The board is in a JD boardsock. He turned around once he realized the board was missing and searched the roadside as best he could. It’s possible that someone picked it up or it could be buried in the shrubs.
It’s a very sentimental board for him and he really wants it back He’s posting flyers in surfshops in the area and I thought I’d post this here as well as Surfermag.com
There is a reward if found and if not, of course, I’ll make him a new one.
Sorry to hear about your brother’s board. It’s been a few years since I have traveled that road, but I would imagine it hasn’t changed much. Lots of places for a board to go flying and never to be seen again down some ravine around a curve. The next guy to see that board will probably be “Sasquatch”. If you haven’t already, you better get the planer out. McDing
My brother in law’s board was found this week! Apparently, a guy from Santa Rosa found it the same day it was lost. He had traveled back to the Fort Bragg area last week and saw the signs on the side of the road.
Thankfully, the guy was honest and called as soon as he found out that it was the missing board.
My B.I.L. was really stoked to get it back and just in time! We’re leaving for Kauai on Thursday and he wanted to bring it with him.
