Mixed a beautiful psychedelic purple and sprayed on the foam. After sanding the lumo has dissipated.
Sorry, should have been a bit more specific. The colour was applied to a polyeurethane blank and then glassed with surfboard suncure resin. The paint has not been sanded as it is on the foam.
Try not to sand the paint ?
…
Maybe it has been attacked by the resin/styrene ? what resin, what paint ? what foam ? pics ?
[edit] I don’t know enought to give you a straight answer but i know that some paints/markers can have bad reactions with poly (I don’t do epoxy yet). I had a deco made with permanent marker who bleed hard when i put resin on it…
Not sure you have the same pb with your paintjob, but fluo pigments are quite fragile so, it’s probably because of the lam’ resin… Try to re-do the experience on a scrap piece of foam ? maybe apply a spray coat on the paint before galssing ? like the Montana gloss coat ?

I’ve not had good luck myself with flouescent paints. Regular colors no problem but flourescent yellow and green I have had failures.
By the way standard yellow paint really pops so I doubt I’ll ever try a flourescent yellow again anyway.
Don’t use suncure and use Vallejo Acrylic Studio brand paint. Sometimes suncure does strange shit to paint. If you are bold enough to do a flopaint, then you are man enough to lame a board old school with MEPK
I use suncure for the speed factor…not the manly-ness factor.
What Iwrote is suncure and dayglow paint don’t work so well for me. use regular practice in lamination to take 1 of many variables out of the f-ups that may and do occur.
Just because you ride a bright pink surf board doesn’t mean you are anyless a man…remember that’s what mom used to say. It’s ok to explore and express yourself. Be free, be proud of who you are! It’s 2015 and the times are changing!
i have always had problems with fluro’s fading with epoxy, ether pigment or sprayed on the foam with acrilic, yellow and pink have been the worst for me with one yellow board almost going back to toataly clear. I have now been using a bit of a similar normal colour in with the fluro and a uv protective 2k clear spay and they seam to last a lot longer but i now have stoped using pure yellow.
