Hi, was thinking in getting a 7ft 4 magic carpet shaped for me ....23 wide x 3 thick. Basically just like my longboard but 2 foot cut out the middle and with a rounded pin tail rather than squash.
However, some thoughts on this welcome. The shaper also does a magic carpet (same outline and size as above) but in a quad set up, slightly tweaked fishy type hull and a swallow tail.
For a good all round easy paddling, wave catching fun board.....what do people reckon the best set up would be? What would the characteristics of each board be? Most of my surfing is on slack waves, most messy and onshore....but there are the few days when things light up.
