Making a 12' balsa blank

Hello. What thickness should I mill wood for a 12’ balsa blank for a Frye style 11’+ longboard such as the one featured in the link below (I will not be shaping the surfboard)

What are some nice wood options for stringers?

Last but not least, should I mill the wood before glueing, and should I glue two peices at a time until I get my desired width, or glue them all at once?

Thanks for the advice!

Once you have your rocker template you can lay it out on paper, the floor, and then your boards themselves. From there you can figure your scarfing.

The stringer wood is tricky because you want the verticle grain on end. It takes the millwright to figure out how to get what you need out of what you can get. You’ll need 12’ x 6" x whatever stock.

You could keep it all balsa w/ no stringers.
