mandala canard

just looking at that yellow canard fish they posted. Did a search and really can’t find any feed back on the boards. Has anybody taken one out? They look beautiful but I’m only seeing pictures. I’ve seen other posts looking for info so I know I’m not alone.

can’t say i have. but if i had alot of money i would have that dude make me a canard. looks sweet with those fins. have u seen his site? makes soem sweet board. one of the best fish sites ive seen in a while

Email him for info - he’s replied promptly to my questions and is very helpful. Aloha.

The problem with the current fish hype is that people rave about the things, any message about them on here will evoke 10-15 responses from people saying how good the keel finned fish are in lined up and small waves. But there are never any pictures of people surfing the boards. derek hynd rides one at jbay in Litmus, but derek rides a board that is at the extremeties of the designs tail and wide point measurements his board being 5’8’ x 22’ 18’ tail. Id like to see some pictures of one of the more high performance keel fins in use before i bought one.

Call Manny 510) 333-7070 or visit that Website of his. You will be Fishin while the others will be wishin. Those who go know, for they exist with the power of soul. Manny actualy cares. Imagine that. Get love with the Quad squad and escape the hate: just alternate, tri not.

Actually Dereks board is quite different than you have it down for. No worries… Donovan Loves his Cunard and Dan Malloy is a very grounded Quad rider thanks to Thomas Cambell. You wiil realy enjoy his up an comming film to be realesed in Spring/Summer 04. If you think they are raves in rensponse now… get ready. There is a groundwell of activity in the works. More later on that or better yet. Talk to Manny he is a sincere individual.

I heard this flick has many small true fish surfing in it by dan malloy and kelly slater and others at jbay and other quality places so keep an eye out for that.I asked dan malloy who made his and he said rich pavel.I also saw article in that rag transworld surf at the market and it told of surf stars at jbay riding fishes for campbell movie. They are definitly not for everyone–late drops and low center of gravity style is best.

Mani left his red quad for my son(14yrs) to ride- he really loves it quote"fast and fun"“loose”“gets a lot of attention in the water”. When Mani did his demo day at Linda Mar he got to ride both twins and quads.he liked them all.At the Lane I’ve seen the guy riding the twinfin thats posted on welcome page- he absolutely ripped on it and told me he hasn’t been riding anything else from his quiver since he got it-even on big days. Mani is such a gentleman and a straight ahead stand-up guy. a great DJ and a good surfer too. The guys at Strive are doing super-nice glass jobs for Mandala.

whoops- that was a quad fin I saw at the lane-sorry.

not to take any attention away from the mandala shapes, but www.kanegarden.com has a clip of somebody surfing a fish at malibu, and the guy is tearing into turns on some tiny waves.
