I saw one of his Vaqueros boards used at a shop in RI, it looks sweer, but at 7’2" & 3" thick I’m afraid it’s too small. I’m 6’1" & 225 lbs (but that’s coming down). Also, I’m a logger.
I love this board!
Any thoughts? Do they come any bigger?
Is he around? I know there was a similar thread about 2 years ago.
I’ve heard great, great things about his boards and they sure look purty, but I’ve never ridden one. Which shop in RI was it in? You really think that would be too small for you? Unless it was real narrow, I think there should be plenty of volume in a 7’2x3" board to float you. Ive got 6" and 40lbs on you and I think it might float me.
Here’s all I could find on this site about his boards. I’ve seen one of his stubbies and it looked like a tonofun.
Hey John, Marc is around he is up in San Mateo. Were just getting ready to do a some new boards . I will get you the contact info, but right now I gotta go to work .
John the best way is to go thru the Beachouse in Santa Barbara 805 963 1281 ask for Brett or PM me here. The Vaqueros are made from 6’0’’ to 11’0’'. That board should float you. Marc dosnt have any dealers on the eastcoast, he sells them thru the BH and Mullosk surfshop in San Fransico and myself.
Kirk – I’ve noticed that you have resold a lot of those boards over the last year or so. Every time I go in, I check the used room for gems. Many times I had wished I had been more flush. I even saw one that would be more of my size ~ 9’0”.
