saw my friend Matt Willis glassing his new balsa boards yesterday, and thought it would be cool to show them. Matt is based in Santa Barbara but travels extensively from British Columbia to Baja, building boards for friends to support his V.W. La Casita.

His scooped out decks are his own design, and define another alterative to weight loss w/o Chambering

Matt, looks nice. Is it a balsa over foam? How long is it? It looks like about 8 foot. Nice job no matter what.

solid balsa from equador… I think you are right ~ 8’ . or maybe 7’10"
